Career Spotlight This month's career: Speech-Language Pathologist
Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologists analyze, evaluate, diagnose, and treat children and adults who exhibit communication and swallowing challenges and disorders.
Required Education: These professionals need a master’s degree. Typically, states require that all Speech-Language Pathologists be licensed in the field. Requirements for licensure differ from state to state.
Preferred Skills: Analytical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, listening skills, critical thinking skills, and strong attention to detail, among others
Salary: $79,120 per year (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)
